(Updated monthly)

For hundreds of years women have shaped our world, but for some reason I received little information about this fact from my schooling. Life taught me that “her story” is just as important as “his story.”  Knowing both can help build a stronger relationship between us all.

That is why I have spent my life diving into the lives of other women who, had I not sought out their information, I may never have known. Women of science, medicine, politics, religion, and war. Women of arts, culture, sports, business and our humanitarians.

Around the globe there are examples of these women; travel with me across time and the miles to know these WOMEN OF INFLUENCE.

THIS MONTHS FEATURED WOMAN: Tara TengThis remarkable young woman has been crowned Miss World Canada (2012) but that is not her only accomplishment. She has used her intelligence and compassion to serve others and is particularly interested in human rights. Tara Teng helps bring attention to the issue of Human Trafficking among other very important issues and it is for all the wonderful contributions she makes to our world that she is this months woman of influence.
